Welcome to travelcommentary.com, home page of motorcyclists Mark Brandl and Chris Baber, where we document our comments, observations, and opinions from our travels throughout the United States, Mexico, Canada, and, as of the first week of August 2005, Mexico (again), then Central America, and back to Mexico.  Click our names above to see our descriptions and pictures of where we've been.

We're currently in Mexico having traveled to Central America via motorcycle, two Suzuki DL650 V-Stroms, seen below at Adventure Motostuff in Carson City, Nevada, run by Chad & Judi Olson.  They specialize in providing gear for motorcycles such as our trusty Suzukis, as well as BMWs, KTMs,  and Hondas.  From November 3rd, 2004 to June 30th/July 2nd, 2005 we were riding Kawasaki KLR650s throughout the Southwestern United States, as well as through a LARGE portion of Mexico.  The KLRs were also great bikes, but a bit low on the "comfort" side, especially for longer rides.

Since we  began our journey on November 3rd, 2004 we have met many great people, visited fantastic places, ate great food, and seen amazing scenery.  Although we usually visited the same places at the same times, we often have had differing opinions on what it is that we've seen and experienced.  Also, we've each traveled to other, different places, alone or with other friends, and those stories have a different, individual touch.

By sharing our travel experiences with our visitors hopefully we can entertain, enlighten, and encourage others to enrich their own lives through travel, whether on motorcycles or another method.
